Prodigy Start Their Own Label And Talk New Album

Prodigy have set up their own record label named Ragged Flag and the band also aim to record their next album as the first release.

Prodigy have previously released their music via the XL Recordings label, however they ended their partnership with 2005's greatest hits collection Their Law.

Ragged Flag will not only release Prodigy material, but also music by new signings made by the group. The label is being backed by Cooking Vinyl.

Speaking of the new project, songwriter Liam Howlett says: "We have been planning this for a while and we are looking forward to building our label up, starting off with the release of the new Prodigy album."

"We have recorded a few songs already for this next album and they are sounding big and mean."
