Pete Doherty has collaborated with Graham Coxon on his debut solo album.
The album is currently in the works, but scheduled for release on March 9th. Although details are still being kept under wraps, the Babyshambles man did reveal the news of Coxon's contributions in a new interview.
"I don't know how Graham ended up on the album!" Doherty told NME. "I suppose it was jobs for the boys. Seeing as I'm lucid and being quite honest, I'll just say Graham's an amazing fella. I was forced to push myself as a musician."
Although he's been working on the untitled record for nearly two years in addition to working with Babyshambles, Pete scrapped any previous recordings and wrote the current version in just one month.
Doherty also revealed he doesn't expect the LP to do well in terms of sales, as he explains: "I'll be pleased to hear if people like it. But I don't see it as a commercial album. I see it as an introverted, self-contained snapshot of a time capturing four weeks of my life."
