Pete Doherty Pleads Guilty In Court Today

Pete Doherty attended court today (July 24th), where he pleaded guilty to damaging the camera of a photographer last year.
As reported previously on these pages, the Babyshambles frontman was supposed to attend at Yeovil Magistrates at the end of last week but failed to appear. A warrant was then issued for his arrest - but later dropped.
The court today heard as the singer chased the photographer Cath Mead in August 2007 and smashed her camera, as she attempted to take pictures of his then girlfriend Irina Lazareanu.
Doherty must now pay £918.27 in compensation to Mead for the broken equipment, as well as £100 in legal costs.
