Paris Hilton's Website Hacked By Cyber-Thieves

Paris Hilton reportedly had her website hacked by identity thieves last week.

According to various sources, ParisHilton.com was infected with the Trojan-Spy.Zbot.YETH Trojan.

Users who visited the site were prompted to update their systems, after which it downloads the trojan onto their computer so thieves can attempt to steal private details - including banking information.

Mary Landesman from ScanSafe warns users: "The big thing with Paris Hilton is the number of visitors that she gets. Sites such as ParisHilton.com are extremely attractive targets for online criminals because of their popularity."

"While it might seem titillating when a celebrity's site is compromised, the impact it has on site visitors is quite serious. It's always doubly concerning when we see a high-profile website get compromised."

This isn't the first case of Hilton's site being hacked, in 2005 cyber thieves gained access to her personal photos, text messages and phone numbers.
