Oasis Officially Split

British rock band Oasis have officially split, after Noel Gallagher quit the group last night (August 28th).
The guitarist and songwriter informed fans of his decision via the official Oasis website, by writing: "It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight."
"People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."
"Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan."
Recent media stories have suggested that Oasis were due to split due to internal problems and arguments between the band members - especially Noel and brother Liam.
The group cancelled a headline performed at V Festival last weekend, which many believed was axed due to an argument. However, Liam Gallagher revealed he was suffering from laryngitis.
