Noel Gallagher Taken To Hospital Following Toronto Stage Attack

Noel Gallagher was taken to hospital after an unidentified man pushed the guitarist off stage.

As we reported earlier today, Oasis were performing their popular song 'Morning Glory' at the V Festival in Toronto, when a man ran from behind and shoved Gallagher off the stage.

Now a statement on the band's official website claims he was later seen by doctors:

"Despite his injuries, Noel returned to the stage a few minutes later to complete the band's set but was taken to hospital after the show to be examined for a suspected fractured rib and ligament damage."

But it looks like the man will not be escaping lightly: "The assailant was detained in police custody and will be charged with assault." Gallagher's PR add.
