Noel Gallagher treated one lucky Oasis fan to an intimate performance in his front room yesterday (December 1st), after he won a competition run through Radio 1.
The winner of the prize was Ben Hayes from Poynton, who described meeting his hero: "He was just sat in my lounge, playing three songs. It was just the best day of my life - so far."
He then added, "It was just absolutely amazing. It was just unreal". After the gig, Noel then spent time with Ben, signing his guitar, CDs and Oasis memorabilia.
For the short acoustic set, Noel Gallagher performed three songs to around 15 people in the lounge, including compere Jo Whiley.
The Oasis songwriter gave performances of Half The World Away, The Importance Of Being Idle and Don't Look Back In Anger.
Speaking about playing in Hayes house, Gallagher said to the press outside: "I said you're not coming around to my house - I've just put a new carpet in - I'm not having it".
