Nicole Scherzinger The 'Ugly Duckling'

Nicole Scherzinger may be considered a sexy singer - but the Pussycat Dolls star used to feel ugly prior to finding fame with the band.
Before she joined the chart-topping 'Don't Cha' girl group in 2003, 31-year-old Nicole admits she lacked confidence.
"Growing up, I was incredibly shy." She revealed. "And awkward. And lanky! I always thought I was an ugly duckling."
"I guess it worked out OK in the end. Ultimately though, true beauty shines from within." Scherzinger added.
"I know joining the group helped me to find out who I am - and I love the message that any woman can be strong, confident and sexy."

"But away from the stage I can be a different person. I'm either shy or goofy, depending on my mood."
Nicole Scherzinger is currently working on her debut solo album, that will be released next year.
