N.E.R.D Confirm Rhea Has Joined The Band

N.E.R.D have confirmed that Rhea is in fact a new member of the collective, following rumors this summer that said the R&B singer was joining the group.

"Musically, we're just somewhere else [with Rhea]," Pharrell states. "The music is now very 3-D. It's something you have to hear."

"We're definitely somewhere else. I want to leave that impact moment for when you purchase your download and you purchase your CD."

"The music is very three-dimensional. We're just really excited." He told MTV. "We feel like N.E.R.D. has always been the punks of hip-hop and the outcasts of alternative music - just a little different. But this time, we're taking no prisoners."

Explaining how Rhea came to become a member, she added: "When I came in there and I met them and they heard me sing, I think they decided it was the right fit."

The next N.E.R.D. record is due in 2010 and has the working title of 'Instant Gratification'. The band's last CD was 2008's Seeing Sounds.
