Ne-Yo has his eye on British talent - he's taking his production company overseas in the hope of signing some UK acts.
The 'Miss Independent' star told CMU Music about his plans to take Compound Entertainment abroad: "As a songwriter as well as a singer, I think it's important to cast my words wide. In other words, I am not trying to contain myself in some little box marked 'urban.'"
"I have travelled the world, and I want to bring that across in the material. Forget about urban, pop or whatever..." Ne-Yo added.
Compound Entertainment boss Tishawn Gayle also confirmed the news, adding: "Ne-Yo has always been well received in the UK and Europe by his label, his fans, the media and the wider industry."
"We're really excited at the prospect of building on those relationships and developing new ones with the exciting talent within the UK."
