Ne-Yo has spoken out about his disrupted UK performance last week, which saw him walk off stage and cancel a set halfway through.
The 'Closer' singer was entertaining fans at the M.E.N. Arena in Manchester last Thursday, July 16th, when he appeared to be emotional whilst singing.
He then had to quit the stage after breaking down in tears and told fans he couldn't continue to perform.
Writing on his website, Ne-Yo says in hindsight: "It literally broke my heart. I've never had to stop a show, never dreamed I'd ever have to."
"I cried harder than I have in a very long time with no shame whatsoever."
"From the first song I knew something was wrong. I shoulda stopped there, but I come from a school where no matter what, the show must go on."
"It wasn't until about four songs in that I came to the painful realisation that my voice was done, literally nothing left, and that I would have to stop the show."
