Nas Teams Up With Fila Clothing Brand

Nas has hooked-up with apparel company Fila for a new one-year-deal.

The clothing brand will offer financial support for print and TV ad campaigns, as well as a forthcoming tour as Nas prepares to promote the release of his 'Untitled' album.

The rapper in exchange for the sponsorship, will wear Fila products and also co-create a new line inspired by late 80s fashion.

Speaking to Billboard, Nas says of the deal: "My best friend Will and I loved Fila. It represented prestige and everything that was cool to us. When Will passed, we buried him in a black Fila sweat suit, so doing a deal with them has a lot of significance for me."

Fila president John Epstein added, "Nas isn't interested in selling out. He's interested in being true, and that fits with our brand."

The Untitled album will be released by Def Jam on July 15th, after the rapper dropped the controversial 'N****r' title.
