Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme has described the band's recent homecoming events as "odd".
The rock trio performed to thousands of fans at two outdoor gigs in Teignmouth last weekend, close to where the band were raised.
Wolstenholme spoke to the BBC of the shows, saying: "The idea came up when we were finishing the album. It felt like the right time to do this."
"I think the strangest thing was coming off stage getting in a car and five minutes after walking through my front door."
"I was walking around my kitchen last night thinking, 'This is very weird, what do I do now?' I was walking around my kitchen thinking 'This is the oddest thing I've ever done in my life'."
Muse previewed new songs from next album 'The Resistance' at the events. The LP is released next week, 14th September.
