Morrissey Urges Fans Not To Buy Live DVD

Morrissey is urging fans not to buy his forthcoming live DVD, because it is being released against his wishes by a former label.

As we reported two days, the 22-track 'Live At Hollywood Bowl' will be released on October 6th as a DVD, featuring a concert filmed at the Hollywood Bowl in June of last year.

However, Morrissey has now issued a statement to fansite True To You, insisting he has nothing to do with the release, nor will he be making any money from it. The statement says:

"The slapdash release of 'Morrissey Live At The Hollywood Bowl' is done by Warner without any consultation to me whatsoever, and is in breach of their terms as laid out by themselves in an agreement made for the film between Warner and my ex-manager."

"Being Warner, predictably the sleeve art is appalling. It is the work of cash-hounds, and I urge people NOT to buy it. I am not signed to Warner, and no royalties from this DVD will come to me. Please spend your money elsewhere. Thank you, MORRISSEY."
