Missy Elliott Planning Her Biopic

Missy Elliott is to open up about her personal life and her troubled past, in a new biopic she is working on.

The rapper and producer wants to chart her rise to fame in the film, but she is still looking for a writer to pen her life story for the big screen.

The hip-hop star had a troubled upbringing, which included being raped by her older cousin, and witnessing her mother being abused by her father, reports say.

Discussing her plans for the biopic, Missy tells Elle magazine: "It's happening; I've just got to find a great writer because I wouldn't want my story watered down."

"I went through a lot, and I accomplished a lot, and I want people to know how it all went down."

There has been talks of the movie for a couple of years now and in 2007, Jennifer Hudson was tipped to play Elliott in the film.

And in 2006, it was rumored Timbaland has refused to star in the project.
