Michael Jackson Plans 2009 World Tour

Michael Jackson looks set to make his long awaited comeback next year and according to sources, he'll be heading out on a large 30-date world tour.

Jacko hasn't toured properly since 1996, nor released a studio album since 2001, but 2009 could be the year he makes his return.

Insiders say Michael has recorded his comeback album in Las Vegas and speaking of the tour, a source tells The Sun (UK newspaper): "Michael said he wasn't doing a Vegas residency but was going on a world tour, taking in 30 cities next year."

"He said he wanted to do it for his kids. He wants them to see what he does, and he wants to take them on the road. He said he was on his way to Los Angeles to finalise the details."
