Method Man 'Explains Tax Evasion Claims'

Method Man has spoken out about his recent 'tax evasion' story, as it has been reported that the rapper owes $32,799 in unpaid taxes from between 2004 to 2007.
The Wu-Tang star was arraigned earlier this month in New York, and giving his first interview since, he told host DJ Big Tigger: "When you don't file, that's what happens. I'm learning my lesson."
"You've got to file. You can't be waiting for the last minute. And I hadn't spoken to my CPA in three or four years."
As for his well-publicized arrest, Method Man says reports made out it was a bigger deal than it really was. He added: "I don't like things being blown out of proportion."
"Let's be clear. I didn't get arrested for not paying them. I got arrested for not filing. It's not a money thing, because I paid it."
