Metallica 'Donate $28,000 To Charity'

Metallica have been donating some of their recent tour profits to help out charities.
The rockers are currently on tour in Canada, and they've given away more than $28,000 to help out others.
This week saw Metallica making a large donation of $8,200 to the Ottawa Food Bank, but it turns out they also handed over a hefty $20,185 to Sun Youth in Montreal, Quebec.
According to Sun Youth co-founder Sid Stevens, the band had asked for anonymity to avoid a negative backlash from the media, but so overwhelmed with the donation that he made it public knowledge.
"It's a beautiful gift." He says. "People sometimes look at groups of this nature in a derogatory or negative manner. But it's very interesting to see them donate in every city they visit."
