Mase Comes Out Of Retirement

Mase has announced he is coming out of retirement and will be making music again.

The ex-Bad Boy Records rapper, whose last release was 2004's 'Welcome Back', was being interviewed with DJ Self on New York's Power 105.1 radio station.

During his chat, Mase revealed it was the sudden death of Michael Jackson last week that prompted his decision to start recording again.

According to Billboard, he told listeners: "Mike passed away and it just lit the fire in me - it made me go in the studio and do something. I'm excited."

Mase premiered a remix of Drake's 'Best I Ever Had', and explaining why he chose that track, he said: "I asked my nephew who is the hottest thing out there and he said 'Drake!' When I listened to his music I said, 'I'm going to jump on this joint.'"

As for his comeback, he revealed: "I've got things up my sleeves, I just need someone to play them."
