Manic Street Preachers Ditch Xmas Song

Manic Street Preachers have axed their proposed Christmas single citing the the release would be too lame (we could have told them that right at the beginning...).

Last month the band revealed how they were writing an Xmas single to tie-in with their large end of year tour, but now drummer Sean Moore told the Daily Star:

"We wanted to put out a single for Christmas that was better than the usual X Factor shite."

"However, we were worried about looking like dickheads so aren't going to make it an official release. We'll give it away on our website or something. It's just too cheesy." Moore added.
