Linkin Park Talk New Transformers Movie

Linkin Park have recorded the soundtrack for the new 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' movie, and the rockers have spoken about the film itself.

"This new 'Transformers' film is slightly darker," Vocalist Mike Shinoda says. "The themes are more about the main character, Sam, and what he's going through."

"He's going off to college, and there's more of a separation going on in his life, not to mention the fact that he's caught in this battle between his past and his future."

"We tried to incorporate all that into the song." Shinoda explained to MTV News, of his band's soundtrack 'New Divide' (watch the video for the single)

Band mate Chester Bennington added: "This song could definitely fit on any of our albums. It's got a classic Linkin Park feel to it."

"We knew the movie was going to be epic, so we wanted to make an epic-sounding song."
