Lily Allen "I Became More Famous For Being A Train Wreck"

Lily Allen has admitted that the press caused her to question her ability to make music.

Speaking in The Sun about her debut album, the singer revealed: "I took a bit of a beating from the press first time around. I became more famous for being a train wreck than a singer."

"I didn't think I was capable of writing songs and making music."

But the 23-year-old is still defending her reputation as a party girl, claiming the press treats women differently to men.

"Young women are represented in a way that isn't true. If a girl is seen having a drink she's a drunk. If that happens with a guy it's not portrayed the same way," Lily said in a TV interview.
