Lil Wayne 'Tired' Of His Rap Career

Lil Wayne says his reason for toying with 'rock' on his next studio album 'Rebirth', is because he's tired of his rap career.

The album - which has been delayed until June - sees Weezy ditching hip-hop in favor of experimenting with rock, as heard on the recent lead single 'Prom Queen'.

Explaining his decision to change direction on the follow-up to last year's hugely popular 'Tha Carter III', Lil Wayne says: "The rock s*** just comes from what my life is now. I've grown into this person."

"I just got - I'm not going to say 'so good' at what I was doing, but it became such a regularity for me that I got tired of it." The 'Lollipop' rapper continued to Rolling Stone.

"And then I said, 'You know what? I'm not going to rap on this one.'"
