Lil Wayne "I Don't Depend On Cough Syrup"

Lil Wayne has spoken of his taste for syrup and revealed he has no plans to give up the dangerous drink, as he hasn't built up a dependency.
The rapper is often spotted drinking the cough medicine based drink, which features promethazine or codeine in the ingredients. Not only is the mixture highly addictive, but it can have deadly affects.
Weezy was being interviewed on ABC's The View last Friday (April 24), when host Elisabeth Hasselbeck questioned whether he was addicted to weed and syrup. Lil Wayne told viewers: "I depend on God and motivation."
"I don't depend on cough syrup and marijuana." He added. "In terms of smoking, I love to smoke, yes."
Wayne is preparing for the release of his seventh studio album 'Rebirth', which sees him experimenting with rock music. The record is expected June 16, after several release delays.
