Lil Wayne Completes Rebirth Production

Lil Wayne has completed all the necessary production work on his album 'Rebirth', which will finally see the light of day in August.

The heavily pushed-back record is said to be an experimental project for the 'Lollipop' hitmaker, with the songs crossing the bridge between rock and hip-hop.

Speaking backstage at the MTV Movie Awards last weekend (May 31), Weezy told MTV News: "Expect great music. That's all I ever want them to expect from me."

"I wanted to grow and show my growth as well," Wayne added. "It's a difference from when you go in a room and come out and you're better and everyone says, 'How did you do that?' So with this album, I wanted everyone to see my growing pains."

Songs confirmed for 'Rebirth' include the two singles 'Prom Queen' and 'Hot Revolver'. Lil Wayne drops 'Rebirth' on August 18.
