Liam Gallagher 'Heaton Park Shows Will Top Knebworth'

With Oasis set to perform three large outdoor gigs in their home city of Manchester this week, frontman Liam Gallagher says he feels the shows will better their huge events at Knebworth.
In 1996, the band performed two sold-out gigs at Knebworth to 250,000 fans - their largest ever headline dates. But Gallagher feels the 'Falling Down' rockers are now at their peak, due to their heavy year of touring of their latest album 'Dig Out Your Soul'.
Liam tells the MEN (Manchester Evening News): "I reckon these gigs have the potential to be even better than the Knebworth shows. It's been a top year for the band, and we're approaching these gigs at the top of our game."
"With those Knebworth gigs, we were off our heads and we totally sped into it. With these Heaton Park gigs, we're more breezing into these gigs. It's not so chaotic."
"We're a miles better band than we were at Knebworth and we'll show it. People will have their heads blown off."
Tickets for the Heaton Park events are still available here, along with tickets for the rest of the tour - including gigs in London, Sunderland, Cardiff and Edinburgh.
