Leona Lewis To Play Mariah Carey In Broadway Musical?

Leona Lewis is just one of the names being targetted to play the role of Mariah Carey in a new Broadway musical, say insiders.
Reports claim Carey is discussing the possible production with husband Nick Cannon and the musical will be based upon the singer's life. If all goes to plan, it should hit the stage in 2009.
"Mariah's not sure if she'll star in it herself," a source tells the Mirror. "If she doesn't, names being tossed around include High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens and Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria."
"But Mariah secretly likes the idea of Leona Lewis playing her. Not only is she exotic, she's the only one who they reckon would be able to tackle Mariah's eight-octave vocal range."
