Led Zeppelin Canada Residency Not True

Led Zeppelin won't be playing dates in Canada this Summer, as reports suggested earlier in the month.

It was claimed the rock giants would play four nights in Toronto, at the Rogers Centre this August - however, promoters have shrugged off the claims as nonsense.

Debra Rathwell, a spokeswoman for Anschutz Entertainment Group Live, says: "Alison Krauss and Robert Plant are touring together till at least the end of July, and Plant has made it perfectly clear that he doesn't want to tour with Led Zeppelin."

"Of course, stranger things have happened," added Rathwell, "but I can tell you that my office is not involved in any Led Zeppelin concerts in Toronto or anywhere else."

Fans have been desperate for Led Zeppelin to announce tour dates since the group reformed late in 2007 to a play a one-off show at London's O2 Arena in December.
