Lady Gaga 'Planning Rock Opera'

Lady Gaga has conquered the pop world and now she wants to try her hand at starring in a movie.

Gaga recently made a cameo in an episode of 'Gossip Girl', and now she's caught the acting bug.

"She sees acting as a natural progression in her career." says one insider. "One idea she has is for a rock opera which would be a huge, big budget movie made to her own very unique ideas.

But she is also keen on straight dramatic roles." Contact Music quotes the source saying. "She has the drive and confidence to make it big as an actress.

"It's just a matter of finding time when she is not committed to her first love - music."

Lady Gaga revealed a new song on her album 'The Fame Monster' was written about her dad.
