Lady Gaga Helps Out At HIV Centre

Lady Gaga took time out from her busy schedule to help out at a HIV centre in England this week.

On Monday (June 29), the 'Paparazzi' singer visited the Orange RockCorps HIV Support Centre in Manchester, hours before her support slot for Take That at the city's Old Trafford Crick Ground.

Speaking at the centre, she told reporters at The Sun why she was offering a helping hand: "I've been doing volunteer work since I was two. When I can, I do everything I can for those in need."

"When I was in school in New York I did 60 hours a year of volunteering with young people hungry for a life in theatre. It was for kids who didn't go to schools with good theatre facilities. It was a great cause."

Discussing HIV, Gaga encouraged younger people to have safer sex, to avoid catching the disease. "I want to make it fashionable to have safe sex. You must be safe."

"You can have sex with hundreds of people with a condom on and get nothing. If you have sex without one, then you could get all sorts of problems."
