Kings Of Leon 'We're Hated In Nashville'

Kings Of Leon have revealed that they aren't liked in their home of Nashville, even stating they are hated.

Despite hailing from the US, the rockers have enjoyed much more success in the UK, but the band feel that the media there don't understand them or their sense of humour.

Bassist Jared Followill tells The Sun just why they aren't liked back home: "We are one of the first bands from Nashville who aren't country artists to have become famous."

"Everyone recognises us, but they just hate us. The local papers always put a question mark after Nashville when they're writing about us. Like we're not really from there."

Nathan Followill also adds: "When we say something in the UK, the Nashville press repeat it and take all the jokes and sarcasm out. They don't get our sense of humour."

"We make some joke then the next day in the Nashville paper it will be, 'The gross Kings Of Leon watch each other have sex'. They didn't realise we were being sarcastic.

"We've got a Ricky Gervais-type of sense of humour. Very sarcastic. Some people just don't get it."
