Kid Sister Explains Debut Album Delays

Kid Sister has spoken about the delays in releasing her debut album. The tipped rapper enjoyed success with her Kanye West-starring single 'Pro Nails' last year and her first major record was orignally intended to hit stores in July.

But numerous delays have hit the LP, as Sister explains: "I turned in the record initially [to her record label] because I was pressured by deadlines, but I didn't feel good about it because it wasn't done. I found myself saying, 'I wish I hadn't done that or this'."

"So, I petitioned the label heavily to take it back and do it the way I wanted to do it, and they were supportive of it." Kid Sister continues to Billboard. "I want a body of work that really has my stamp on it, so, release dates be damned, I'll turn it in when I'm ready."

Although the album has had the title of 'Dream Date', Sister reveals that the name could be switched along with most of the material: "Everything is moving around. Three or four of the original songs will be on there, but everything else will be new for the most part."
