Keri Hilson has claimed Nicole Scherzinger was pressured into rejoining the Pussycat Dolls to record their second album, forcing her to put her own solo plans on hold.
In a conversation with the UK's Daily Star, hitmaker Hilson says: "I wrote 'Alienated', one of the songs on my album, for Nicole's solo project."
"It was a good album but she decided to go back to the Dolls instead of releasing it, well she was kinda forced to I think. It was good situation for me as I fell in love with that song, so I got to keep it."
Rumors suggest Scherzinger is on the verge of splitting from the girl-group, a theory that seems to be elevated by the fact the band's latest songs have been released under the name of Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger.
The singer's debut 'Her Name Is Nicole' - which saw singles 'Baby Love' and 'Whatever U Like' being released - was due around 2007/2008, but has now been scrapped. She is said to be working on a new debut instead.
