According to reports, file-sharing network Kazaa has reached a legal settlement with the music industry and must pay millions in damages.
The new agreement means the site must pay more than $100 million to the leading music companies, Universal, Sony BMG, Warner Music and EMI.
As the result of the long, continuous battle between the two parties, Kazaa will now commit to running a totally legal site.
The settlement is similar to that of Napster, which also started life as a free file-sharing network but resurfaced as a legal paid downloads site.
