Katy Perry Drops Trademark Case

Katy Perry's trademark battle with Australian fashion designer Katie Perry has ended.
Last month the designer claimed the singer had sent her a cease and desist, demanding that she stops trading under the name - despite the different spelling.
But the case was dropped just one hour before reaching court in Canberra, Australia, and Katie is more than thrilled with the decision.
"I went to sleep last night worrying about this case and whether I was going to lose my business and now all that has changed." The designer is quoted as saying.
"Physically and mentally it's taken a huge toll. I've learnt a lot of lessons through this - mostly to stick to my guns. I still have to work tonight but I think I'll find time for a glass of champagne as well."
Last month 'Hot N Cold' hitmaker Katy said she wasn't personally suing her namesake.
