Katie Melua Does Not Enjoy Her Fame

Katie Melua has revealed that she doesn't enjoy her fame or the attention it brings with it, and it even leaves her feeling "creeped out".
"I spent most of the first year or two denying it completely to myself because it was so far removed from what I expected and the thought of fame itself, I don't know why, but it just gave me the creeps, part of it still does, so I didn't really enjoy it."
"I loved the fact that people like my music and it was selling so well, I'm not going to lie about it, but just the whole celebrity thing was weird," the singer is quoted as saying by the Associated Press.
Since 2003, Melua has released three albums - 'Call Of The Seach', 'Piece By Piece', 'Pictures' - and this month's 'The Katie Melua Collection' compilation.
