Kate Nash has lashed-out at Leona Lewis, after defeating the pop star at the Brit Awards last month.
Nash scooped the award for Best British Female and in a new interview, she says about runner up Lewis (who won the X-Factor):
"Leona seems like a really nice girl. But I think it was really good I won it because I started this myself. I'm not a manufactured, size-zero pop artist who is going to bring out her own perfume and clothes range."
Kate also goes on to say other female pop stars lead a bad example by portraying a "perfect image" of how girls should look, to their young impressionable fanbase:
"There are teenage girls who grow up wanting to kill themselves," says Nash, "because they can't be as pretty as the girls in the magazines. But I'm quite normal, so it's great."
