Kasabian Will 'Donate Mercury Cheque To Charity'

Kasabian are considering to give their money to charity if they win the Mercury Prize this year - as long as they don't drink it away first that is.
The band are one of the favourites to scoop the award, for their third album 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum'.
And speaking of their nomination, guitarist Serge Pizzorno, revealed how they'll spend their (potential) winnings: "It's not just up to me but we'll probably give it to charity. But if it gets lost on the way out to a barman, so be it."
"If we win, London is gonna get ambushed by some maniacs – people will have to board up their houses." Pizzorno continued. "It would be amazing to win but I wouldn't be surprised if it goes either way."
"It's just nice to be in the mix."
During the award ceremony, Kasabian will be performing their single 'Fire'. Serge says: "It'll be a sleazy and sexy performance."
