Kara DioGuardi 'Stunned' Paula Abdul Has Quit Idol

Kara DioGuardi says she is stunned that Paula Abdul won't be returning to American Idol.
At the beginning of this week, Abdul confirmed that she would not retake her position behind the judging panel when filming begins for the next season.
And co-star DioGuardi, who only joined the show last year, is "completely shocked" by Paula's announcement.
Kara was speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, when she revealed she's tried to contact Abdul to ask her to reconsider her decision, PopEater.com is reporting today.
"It's such a loss for the show, such a loss for the contestants." DioGuardi told Seacrest. "She's definitely the heart of the panel."
"The kind of heart she treated the contestants with, she treated me with last year. She was so kind to me and made me feel immediately like part of the panel."
