Kaiser Chiefs Are Not Splitting

Kaiser Chiefs have addressed rumours they are going to split (again)

The group are regularly met with claims they are about to hang up their instruments and quit making music together - a rumour that surfaced again recently, suggesting their Reading and Leeds festival performances would be their last.

"It's our last show for the foreseeable future, so it's a bit of an abyss." Frontman Ricky Wilson explains. "I don't think bands split up when they're still good friends and having a good time with each other."

"We just haven't written anything new and we haven't booked anything. If people look at your diary and see you haven't booked anything, they think you're stopping."

"We don't want to bring out and album before Christmas, we don't want to bring out an album after Christmas." The Kaiser Chiefs star added to XFM radio.

"We don't want to go into the studio, there are no more gigs. It's a bit like when we first started and had proper jobs and did a gig a month."
