Joss Stone 'Offered To Give Her House Up'

Joss Stone was so determined to release new album 'Colour Me Free', that she even offered to sell her own house so that her record label would finally issue the CD.

The singer's fourth LP had been delayed heavily as EMI Records felt it would not be a commercial success, prompting Stone to take drastic action.

"It got to the point where I said, 'Take my house and release the record'." Joss explained. "The thing is, I just made an album and I wanted people to like it."

"I did not think anything of it. Why did it have to be a big deal? Why does it have to focus on being a number one song? F*** that, I can't be bothered."

"EMI were running a business. It's not about you having a lovely time in the studio... so it's got a low budget? That's fine by me. I just wanted to have artistic freedom. I'm tired of all the silliness."

"We will cross our fingers and see what we can muster. We'll maybe see what we can do ourselves."

'Colour Me Free' is out now.

Joss admitted last week that she can't listen to her older music, because she doesn't like it.
