Josh Homme Talks Arctic Monkeys Recording Sessions

Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has discussed producing new songs with the Arctic Monkeys, that may be used on their third album.

The band joined the rocker in Joshua Tree last year and were more than pleased with the recording sessions, as drummer Matt Helders explained at the time.

Now Homme has spoken about the studio time, telling Biffy Clyro (who were guest presenters on BBC Radio 1 this week, January 16): "Oh man, it was great. We spent most of the time in Joshua Tree and it was really cool to be present and watch them go nuts."

Biffy Clyro also hinted to Homme that they themselves would love to work with him, asking if "three Scottish boys [could] come to your studio?", to which Josh replied "yeah let's do this, whenever you're ready man."

Last week, Arctic Monkeys premiered three songs from their new album to fans in Wellington, New Zealand.
