Jimmy Chamberlin Leaves Smashing Pumpkins

Jimmy Chamberlin has left Smashing Pumpkins after 21 years, it has been announced.
The news was broken by frontman Billy Corgan yesterday (March 20), who confirmed the drummer had parted ways with the rock band - although a reason as to why he quit was not revealed.
Corgan simply said in a statement, "Jimmy Chamberlin has left the group." The drummer joined the group when they first formed in 1988.
Billy Corgan is now the only original member of Smashing Pumpkins left and will continue to record and release under the name.
