Jessica Simpson 'Quits Dating For Six Months'

Jessica Simpson has vowed to stay away from men for at least six months, say friends.

The singer was left heartbroken after being dumped by Tony Romo the day before her birthday. And now, according to her pals, she is taking a break from any romantic relationships in order to discover why it is her love life is so ill-fated.

"She needs time to clear her head, so she's putting dating on the back burner," a source told the National Enquirer. "Jess knows she's overly needy and tends to define herself by the men she's with."

Another friend adds: "She's refusing to be set up, she doesn't want to date, and she's definitely avoiding meaningless hookups. Jessica wants to figure out what she does to repel men and fix it"

"She's hoping that with a period of introspection, she'll be able to bounce back stronger and find her true Mr. Right."
