Gossip Girl's Taylor Momsen Fronts New Band

Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen is planning to launch a music career in the new year.
The 15-year-old actress, who plays Jenny Humphrey on the popular teen drama, was hit with a life-threatening throat infection In October, but this has not stopped the determined singer's plans.
Sources say Momsen was watching rock idol Blondie performing at the Manhattan Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this week, where she told her friends that she was fronting a new band.
"She looked just like a rocker and kept talking about her band." A source tells the New York Post.
Taylor isn't the only Gossip Girl actress to venture into music - co-star Leighton Meester (who plays Blair Waldorf) is also launching her singing career in 2009.
