Glasvegas Could Become "Biggest Band In The World" Says Alan McGee

Alan McGee has praised Glasvegas, adding that the band "make you believe in rock'n'roll".

In a MySpace blog post, the former Creation Records boss says he saw the group performing live in Glasgow recently and was blown away.

"James Allan is a truly great songwriter." McGee writes. "2,500 people in Glasgow singing Cheating Heart is like a war cry set to a broken heart."

"Glasgow has never produced a band as good as this ever before. The band have got really really good live as they can now all really play. They could end up being the biggest band in the world after watching last night."

"They are that good it was that emotional. They make you believe in rock'n'roll."

Glasvegas frontman James Allan recently revealed he may be collaborating with Primal Scream vocalist Bobby Gillespie on a Suicide tribute cover version.

The band's new video for next single Flowers & Football Tops also hit the internet last week.
