Glastonbury Tickets Still On Sale

Tickets for Glastonbury Festival this year are still on sale, despite being available for more than 24 hours.

Unlike the 2007 event, which sold-out within just a few hours of going on sale, only 100,000 out of the allocated 137,500 tickets had been snapped-up for the 2008 bash.

Michael Eavis, festival organiser, said the tickets hadn't sold as well due to bad weather: "In previous years all tickets were sold-out within a couple of hours but I think three years of mud may have taken their toll, but even so, 100,000 isn't bad."

When asked about whether the confirmed names to play the festival were to blame for ticket sales, Eavis shrugged off the claims saying: "People will be astonished, astounded when they see who's playing."

Although rumours suggest Jay-Z will be dropping out of Glastonbury, Eavis adds: "I'm so excited about Jay-Z too. He's the best thing we have had here for years."
