Glastonbury Ticket Info Announced

Fans wanting to attend this year's Glastonbury Festival must register their details on a newly launched site (here) as a means of combating inflated ticket prices by touts.

Before tickets are bought, you must register with the site between now and February 28th. The actual tickets will then go on sale as of April 1st.

People purchasing tickets must provide a passport-sized photo, which will then be printed on the ticket to prevent it being sold on at a later date.

Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has said about the new security measure: "It's a much fairer system. The people who buy the tickets on April 1 will be the people who are actually coming to the festival."

Anyone without a computer can also submit their applications by post. A form can be collected from any branch of camping store Millets.

We reported here about some of the first names announced to be playing at Glastonbury 2007.
