Girls Aloud To Host Their Own Christmas TV Special

Girls Aloud will be hosting their own TV special this Christmas, to be screened on ITV.
Billed as 'The Girls Aloud Party', the show will see the five-piece - Cheryl, Sarah, Nadine, Nicola and Kimberley - singing and interviewing other celebrities, including Take That.
Sarah Harding tells The Sun: "This year has been great for us and what better way to round it off than a festive special. The show will be a Girls Aloud Christmas party and loads of fun."
A source also adds: "The girls are like family to ITV and we'd do anything to stop them going to another channel. They started their career here on Popstars: The Rivals and the public loves them."
"They want people to see another side of them which is why they've agreed to do the show. They have more ambitions than just singing and this is a great showcase for them. Sarah in particular wants to be an actress."
As we reported yesterday, Girls Aloud have announced a UK arena tour for May 2009.
