Girls Aloud - "Nadine Coyle Told Put More Effort In Or Quit"

Girls Aloud have allegedly given band member Nadine Coyle an ultimatum - either put more time and effort into the band, or leave - say reports.

The other four members of the chart-topping pop outfit are often doing publicty as a four-piece (like the 'Passions Of Girls Aloud' for example), as the Irish singer lives in Los Angeles - making it difficult for Coyle to always get involved.

Now a source tells the New Of The World that her time away is causing tension within the five-piece: "The other four can't stand her these days because they feel her heart isn't in the band."

"She's become very distant and seems to resent the time she has to spend in London away from her new base in LA. Getting her to show up for things can be very difficult. The girls have always rowed, but this is the first time there's been such a big split between one member and everyone else."

The insider also claimed tension was high as Girls Aloud recorded their Christmas special (due to air on ITV next weekend).

"There was an icy atmosphere and the others didn't speak to Nadine." Says the source. "She was the first to get ready and had to wait ages for the girls, who were having a giggle with each other. Nadine ended up chatting to the dancers to pass the time."
